New Chinese outbound Investments announced in closer to home club countries

The following two new Chinese investments have been recently announced in Australia and Malaysia in two very different sectors: mining and technology, respectively.
  • Australian mining company Inova Resources received a bid offer from Chinese coal and chemical products maker Shanxi Donghui Coal Coking & Chemicals to acquire all the shares of the former for AUD 160mn (USD 144.5mn).
  • Chinese company Xiamen Comfort Science & Technology Group has launched a voluntary takeover offer to acquire Malaysian firm Ogawa World Bhd.
